Rice Year in Review 2017

Rice Year in Review 2017

If we had to pick a word to describe Rice over the past year, it would be growth. From the people to our services, we’ve done many new things this year and added some fun activities to our list! Here is a recap of the key events that took place over the year.

Team offsite in Vietnam

In July, we wrote to all our clients informing them of our office closure and took off on a four-day offsite in Hanoi, Vietnam. We ate, danced, sang, and played games. We also celebrated wins and looked at the things we needed to focus on for the coming year. The video below is proof of how much fun we had.

More awards

We won the PRWeek Asia Southeast Asia PR Consultancy of the Year award. That’s one more feather in the cap!

Expanding teams

As an agency there were many new additions to the team this year, as we prepare to venture into new territories.

Hong Kong office launch

We opened a new office in Hong Kong, and have since worked on some fun projects like launching a new restaurant.

Creative content hub

Beyond PR, we now have a team that works on videos, graphic design, and a range of content-driven projects. Clearly, there are no limits to creativity.

Get fit

In a bid to get our fitness levels up, we have started #RiceRuns every Thursday, where colleagues get together to burn off a few extra calories. Some of us have also started participating in the Health Promotion Board’s weekly fitness classes, trying new things like piloxing, K-pop, and FIT classes!

Launched a talent programme in Myanmar

We launched a training programme in Myanmar for professionals in the field, and became the first PR agency to do so in the country.

Final Christmas at Duxton

We end the year with a bang, celebrating Christmas at our office for the final time before moving on to our new office!

We look forward to 2018 😊
